ADELANTO – The City of Adelanto, announced November 25, that they are hosting their annual Handlebars for Christmas Giveaway.

Students in the Adelanto Elementary School District will get a chance to win a brand new bicycle while helping to support local community food pantries.

Consumers are donating less

The city is asking for non-expired canned or boxed food item donations for entry into the bicycle giveaway.

The food drive comes amid a 2.4% inflation rate, with prices overall still 21.4% higher since the pandemic-induced recession began in February 2020.
