HESPERIA — San Bernardino County will host a High Desert Resource and Job Fair, bringing together employers from industries including manufacturing, transportation, government and healthcare with local residents.

The Inland Empire’s unemployment rate remains around 5%, slightly above what is typically considered a strong labor market.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet hiring managers, learn about current openings and apply for jobs in person.

Employers will host booths and may conduct on-the-spot screenings or interviews. Resource services, such as job readiness support and training information, may also be available.

Ongoing demand in logistics, healthcare and public service

In-person job fairs can help address uneven hiring, with continued demand in sectors like logistics, healthcare and public service.

As the High Desert continues to grow, local agencies have increased job fairs and workforce programs to connect residents with available jobs and help meet hiring needs in key industries.

Residents are encouraged to bring resumes and be prepared to speak with multiple employers.

The High Desert Resource and Job Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 at Hesperia Civic Plaza Park, located at 15833 Smoke Tree Street.
