CALIFORNIA – College Corps, in collaboration with California colleges and universities, is now accepting applications for the 2026-27 academic year to provide students with money for school and professional development.

Participants can earn up to $10,000, which includes a living allowance and an Education Award.

They serve on campus or with local nonprofits, focusing on K-12 education, climate action, food insecurity and other community needs.

College Corps says fellows make a lasting impact in their communities while earning up to $10,000 for completing 450 hours of service.

Along the way, they receive training, mentoring, and professional experience to strengthen their resumes, and build meaningful connections as part of a statewide network of young leaders across California.

Melissa Saldana Munguia, a Child, Adolescent & Family Studies major at Cal State San Bernardino, has been a College Corps Fellow since August 2024.

During that time, she has worked with students in K-12 education, served as a translator for non-English speakers and participated in river cleanups, among other service projects.

She is now a 2025-26 Fellow Ambassador for College Corps at CSUSB.

“This program changed my life, and I cannot wait to see how it continues to change the lives of others,” Munguia said.
