Cash prizes include $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place, and $250 for third place.

For the derby, 1,660 pounds of trout, including lightning trout, will be stocked on Friday, March 6, with 830 pounds placed in Pelican Lake and 830 pounds in Horseshoe Lake.

Both lakes will be closed to public fishing on March 6 and will reopen after the derby concludes.

Regional Parks will have a weigh-in station and encourages participants to allow time to weigh and enter their fish before the 1 p.m. cutoff.
