HESPERIA – Rock’n Our Disabilities Foundation is now accepting entries for the 2023 Hesperia Days Parade. The organization said that this year’s fairy tale theme provides local businesses and community groups ample ideas for floats while supporting the city of Hesperia.

“Storybook Wonderland, Where Dreams Come to Life” is the theme this year for the Hesperia Days Parade taking place September 16, 2023. The annual event coincides with the Hesperia Days Festival that brings the community together for two days of fun.

Last year, 18 school participants including bands, ROTC units and cheer squads marched in the parade. The San Bernardino County Fair Junior Board, Home Town Hero Brigade, High Desert Food Collaborative and others took home first place awards.

The upcoming parade features local realtor Becky Otwell as Grand Marshal. The parade will again run along Main Street from I Ave. to E Ave. starting at 9 a.m.

Opportunity for businesses

Rock’n Our Disabilities Foundation CEO Dana Hernandez says that participating in the parade is an excellent marketing opportunity for companies to get in front of thousands of High Desert residents.

“The Hesperia Days Parade relies on sponsorships from local businesses and organizations to keep this tradition alive. We are asking for your continued support to make this year’s parade a success,” said Rock’n Our Disabilities Foundation CEO Dana Hernandez in a recent donation letter.

Sponsors are recognized online, in print, with banners, flyers, posters, on social media, live streaming and over the loudspeaker during the parade.

In addition to the Hesperia Days Parade, the Rock’n Our Disabilities Foundation hosts annual events that include the Superhero 5K, disABILITIES Walk & Roll, Spooktacular Halloween and Mystery Dinner. These fundraisers support social, recreational, educational, and mentoring programs for families and individuals with special needs.
