ADELANTO – An authentic luau with hula, fire dancers and Grammy nominated artists will provide entertainment for the whole family, May 14, at the first Mayjah Vibes Polynesian Experience. Event organizers Poly Plug and Trewph aspire to bring “a multi-faceted cultural experience with a much-needed spirit of positivity, love, and amazing island vibes” to the High Desert.

“We’re bringing a taste of Hawaii to the Adelanto Stadium,” said Mayjah Vibes Event Organizer Gabriel Reyes.

Musical performances include Billboard album and song writer Analea Brown, New Zealand reggae artist Sammy J. and Fiji – who recently received a Pacific Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award. Grammy nominated, reggae rock band Common Kings will headline the event with the duo Western Conference emceeing and providing house music.

Reyes said they’ve partnered with Market 760 – a food festival local vendor.

Da Poke Mon, El Arabachi, and Shirley’s Coffee are a few of the food trucks that will be serving up their specialty items. A beer garden and Kava lounge will also provide drinks for the 21 and up crowd.

Event organizers say their goal is to have 10,000+ people at the stadium.

“We’re looking at making this a yearly event with the support and embracing of the community,” said Reyes. “We’re hoping it will be an amazing turnout so that when it comes to next year – we can turn it into a 2-day festival and continue to bring the attraction to our region.”
