CALIFORNIA – Kling AI, a next-generation AI tool, developed by KuaiShou Technology, that generates both videos and images from text prompts and images, is accepting short film submissions for its Creative Contest with a total prize pool of $42,000.

The Kling AI NextGen Creative Contest is for creators to push the boundaries of AI-powered storytelling, and shine under the spotlight on bigger stages, said the company.

According to Forbes, new AI-powered technologies have democratized access to movie production and distribution.

This surge in creator-driven content has reshaped audience habits, positioning platforms like YouTube at the center of the new media landscape.

A recent report noted that YouTube’s engagement topped all other media companies in February’s Nielsen Gauge report, and with 2024 revenue of $54.2 billion, second only to Disney, which is headquartered in California.

The analyst predicts that YouTube will surpass Disney this year.

At its fourth “Made on Youtube” event, the company introduced new products and innovation to power the next decade of creation.

Anyone with an idea — whether an individual, artist, studio, or brand — can become a creator here. And we help them turn their idea into a business: we’ve paid out over $100 billion to creators, artists, and media companies globally over the last four years,” Youtube said.
