HESPERIA – Silverwood, the master-planned community in Hesperia, announced July 22, that Lennar, Richmond American Homes, Watt Capital Developers and Woodside Homes have made home designs and more than 20 floor plans specifically for the development.

“We are thrilled to partner with our home builders to bring this much needed housing inventory to Southern California where a lack of supply, especially for middle class families looking to own, has been a challenge,” says Silverwood general manager John Ohanian.

The developer says the collection offers a variety of home sizes with features tailored to a wide range of lifestyles, including RV and toy parking, rear yard casitas, multi-generational floor plans, and bold exterior paint colors.

The first phase of the community will include more than 2,000 homes, with a planned grand opening in early 2025.

Attainably priced homes

According to the news release, Silverwood will offer housing options, from townhomes to single-family homes with a range of sizes. Pricing will start in the $400s.

The developer says they will be one of the largest new communities developed in Southern California. The community sits on 9,000 acres and is entitled for more than 15,000 homes.

“Silverwood will create the opportunity for thousands of families to live in attainably priced homes in a gorgeous mountain setting with endless opportunities for outdoor recreation, all within a reasonable commute to San Bernardino, Riverside, Ontario, and other existing employment hubs,” said the site.

The developer says they are catering to first-time homebuyers and first-time move-up buyers.

$1.6 billion to improve region

Over the next 25 years of development, Silverwood says more than $1.6 billion dollars will be invested to improve the region’s infrastructure and services.

“Silverwood will create construction jobs for people and companies based in the Mojave River Valley. Thousands of infrastructure improvement-related jobs will be needed, in the form of building roads, bridges and commercial buildings, in addition to the construction of residences,” said the website.

Additional details related to floorplans, home elevations and pricing will be announced later this summer.
