HESPERIA – The City of Hesperia is inviting local photographers to showcase their work as part of a new community art initiative.

City officials announced that submissions are now open for the Points of View Photography Contest, a program designed to highlight local talent and beautify public spaces across the city.

Selected images will be displayed on traffic signal cabinet wraps throughout Hesperia, turning everyday infrastructure into visual art installations.

This year’s theme, “Flora and Fauna of the Mojave River Valley,” encourages participants to capture the natural landscape and wildlife unique to the region.

The contest is open to local photographers. Submissions will be accepted through April 15. Entries will be reviewed and ranked by the City Council Advisory Committee, with top selections advancing to a public vote.

The contest is part of the city’s ongoing Points of View Program, which aims to enhance the community through public art while showcasing local perspectives.

Residents interested in participating can submit original photographs through the city’s website.

To submit a photo visit www.hesperiaca.gov/1532/Points-of-View-Program.
