SoCal theme park debuts first-ever LEGO Festival

CALIFORNIA – Legoland California is hosting its first Lego Festival for six weekends starting May 3.

LEGO said this is an invitation to families to come together and experience the transformative power of play in a fun and engaging environment.

‘If kids controlled the world, family playtime would be all the time’

A 2018 LEGO survey of almost 13,000 parents and children revealed that 88% of families who play together for five or more hours a week describe themselves as happy.

However, 38% struggle to prioritize playtime due to busy schedules.

“If kids controlled the world, family playtime would be all the time,” said LEGO in the news release.

Festival includes five immersive experiences

LEGO Festival 2025 will take place at the Carlsbad theme park in Southern California as well as Legoland parks in Florida, New York, Denmark, Germany, England and South Korea.

The festival includes five immersive experiences – dance, gaming, creative, chillout and music zones.

Families can rock out on a LEGO guitar, build to the beat of DJ Goodvibes, create with Master Builder Alec, meet gaming heroes, or unwind around beautiful LEGO botanicals.

In addition, there will be over 49 new big build LEGO models designed to inspire play in different ways.

The Lego Festival dates are May 3-4, 10-11, 17-18, 24-26, 31 and June 1, 7-8.

Legoland California is located at One Legoland Drive in Carlsbad.
