VICTORVILLE — Laid back artist Savy T wants to put fans in good spirits with his chill out music. The independent Victorville artist debuted his first album,“One Way”, last month on all major streaming platforms.

“The things I go through mentally, physically, sometimes emotionally — it’s like a place where I can put my feelings out without having to hear anyone come back at me for it,” said Savy T about his music.

The self-described “lofi with lyrics” rapper grew up in Hesperia. During high school, Savy T moved to Hawaii where he eventually went on to serve the country. After his discharge, he took up music and hasn’t stopped since.

Savy T says his inspiration comes from his older brother TipToe who is also a musician as well as family members who play drums and guitar.

“I was just surrounded by it,” said Savy T. “I didn’t really know I liked it until I tried it and I just fell in love with it.”
