APPLE VALLEY – Authorities have identified and arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile in connection with a December 2025 shooting that left two Apple Valley teens wounded, San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Department announced.

Deputies from the Apple Valley Station and fire personnel responded at about 1:03 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, to the AMPM at 20815 Bear Valley Road following reports of two people with gunshot wounds.

Investigators determined the shooting occurred in a dirt field in the 21000 block of Laguna Road.

Both victims — a 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old male resident of Apple Valley — were transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Officials said the victims are expected to survive their injuries.

17-year-old taken into custody

After an extensive investigation, the 17-year-old suspect was taken into custody without incident on Jan. 14 and booked at the High Desert Juvenile Detention Center on attempted murder charges.

Sheriff’s investigators closed part of Laguna Road following the initial shooting as they processed the scene.

The investigation remains active, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Apple Valley Police Station at (760) 240-7400 or the Sheriff’s Dispatch at (760) 956-5001.
