
APPLE VALLEY – San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies responded to a traffic collision around 7:20 p.m. Dec. 18 at the intersection of State Highway 18 and Rancherias Road.
Multiple 911 callers reported that Andrew Peck, an occupant of one vehicle, was swinging a metal pole and behaving erratically.
Peck was detained after a physical struggle with deputies upon their arrival.
Deputies learned Peck and the 61-year-old victim from San Jacinto had argued earlier at a business in the 13000 block of Manhasset Road. He followed the victim to State Highway 18 and Rancherias Road and intentionally rammed the victim’s vehicle.
Being held on $40,000 bail
Peck was taken to the High Desert Detention Center and booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and resisting a peace officer. He is being held on $40,000 bail.
