CALIFORNIA – The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced September 9 that a California man pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine, heroin, opium, and ketamine.

Court documents show Parampreet Singh, 59, of Davis, led a drug trafficking operation with co-defendants Amandeep Multani, 37, of Roseville, and Ranvir Singh, 42, of Sacramento.

The group coordinated cocaine, heroin, opium, and ketamine sales in Canada from California using encrypted cellphone apps.

Between October 2020 and April 2021, they sold approximately 10 kilograms of cocaine, 1.5 kilograms of opium, 2 kilograms of ketamine, and multiple heroin samples to undercover officers, totaling $637,600 CAD and $75,190 USD.

As part of his plea, Parampreet Singh agreed to forfeit $2 million to the U.S. government.

Parampreet Singh faces life in prison

Multani pleaded guilty on Dec. 13, 2022, and is scheduled for sentencing on Nov. 18, 2025.

Ranvir Singh’s jury trial is set to begin Oct. 6, 2025. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Parampreet Singh is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 27, 2026. He faces a maximum penalty of life in prison and a $10 million fine.

The California Homeland Security Task Force investigated the case as part of Operation Take Back America, a federal initiative under Executive Order 14159.

The program targets illegal immigration, dismantles cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and combats violent crime nationwide, leveraging resources from OCDETFs and Project Safe Neighborhoods.
