Photo credit City of VictorvilleVICTORVILLE – The City of Victorville announced, July 17, a surge in hotel development proposals.
The Fairfield Inn by Marriott recently opened its doors in May 2025, while the Avid Hotel is currently under construction on Bear Valley Road.
In addition, there are five more hotel developments in the planning phase within the city.
Victorville currently has received the following hotel applications:
- A new Residence Inn with 152 rooms designed for long-term stays, will be located at Bear Valley Road and Mariposa Road, just north of the WSS Shoe store.
- A new Holiday Express, an 87-room hotel will be located on the southeast corner of Talpa Street and Mariposa Road.
- A new Hampton Inn, a 5-story, 119 room hotel will be constructed at 1820 Locust Avenue on the corner of Mariposa Road.
- New Construction of a 112-room hotel located at the southeast corner of Dos Palmas Road and U.S. Hwy 395.
- A new Woodspring Suites, a 4-story hotel is proposed for the northeast corner of Cottonwood Avenue and Pahute Avenue.
Raising Cane’s, Pollo Campero and Dutch Bros coming soon
Victorville also announced several new commercial projects including its first Raising Cane’s on Roy Rogers Drive and the region’s first Pollo Campero at Vallarta Shopping Center.
Other projects include a new Six Beans at Green Tree Blvd. and Seventh Street, and a Del Amo Motorsports location on Atstar Drive.
In addition, a new medical office building, spanning approximately 26,355 square feet, is currently under construction behind Winco on Roy Rogers Drive and a third Dutch Bros at Palmdale and Cantina Street is in the planning stages.
Industrial development will bring over 600 jobs
In August 2025, the city said Goodyear Tire will open a 1.3 million sq. ft. warehouse at the Southern California Logistics Center, expecting to bring 175 jobs to the area.
Victorville also approved plans for a 231,000 sq. ft. American Jerky dog treat facility at Nisqualli and Hesperia Roads, expected to bring 450 jobs and break ground in summer 2025.
New industrial projects currently in the planning phase include a 1 million sq. ft. warehouse center at Mojave drive and Topaz road, with three buildings across 52 acres. Plans also include a 1.1 million sq. ft. warehouse on Turner Road and an 806,000 sq. ft. facility at Abbey Lane and Stoddard Wells Road.
Permit processed for 212-unit apartment complex
The city said its seeing continued residential growth in 2025, with 541 single-family lots approved across three tracts, a tentative tract for 320 more lots and 12 scattered homes. Six builders are active across 10 tracts citywide.
Victorville is also processing permits for two apartment complexes – a 212-unit apartment complex at Balsam and Winona, and a 56-unit complex at 14275 Borega Road.
