Six Flags Magic Mountain new chaperone policy for Fright Fest Extreme starts September 7

CALIFORNIA – Six Flag Magic Mountain announced that a chaperone is required for all guests age 15 years old or younger beginning September 7 during Fright Fest Extreme hours.

The theme park says the new policy is a commitment to the safety of guests and associates.

“Over the past few years, there have been increasing incidents of unruly and inappropriate behavior across our industry and at other major entertainment venues,” reads a statement on the Six Flag Magic Mountain website

They go on to say that they are committed to keeping Six Flags Magic Mountain a place where thrill-seekers of all ages can come together to enjoy a one-of-a-kind park full of fun experiences.

Chaperone policy

According to the site, all guests 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old in order to be admitted to, or remain in, the park during Fright Fest Extreme after 4:00 p.m. local time to park close.

The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at ticket entry. 

One chaperone may accompany no more than 10 guests age 15 or younger per day. In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit and be available by phone throughout their stay.

Guests aged 15 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone when the Chaperone Policy is in effect will be subject to ejection. 

Fright Fest Extreme

According to Six Flags Magic Mountain, Fright Fest Extreme is California’s largest haunt with 11 haunted houses and 9 scare zones. The event takes place on select nights from September 7 to November 3.
