VICTORVILLE – Fresh tacos, a jumper, music and local vendors filled the HD Family Events attraction, Saturday, for a day of family fun.

“Our goal is to create a local support group with businesses looking to gain recognition and expand their business in the High Desert,” said HD Family Events Organizer Rebecca Rios.

Rios along with Isabella Gallegos and Blanca Guerra said they wanted to bring an attraction to the community where family and friends can “come together and enjoy an evening of fun, food, laughs and activities.”

Sweet Treats by Bella, Doterra and Crafty Sunflower were a few of the local vendors on hand showcasing their products.  E and Y Rentals provided entertainment for the kids with a jumper.

Rios is the HD Exclusive Trendz shop owner, an online and local retailer for clothing and loungewear. As a recent transplant from the Los Angeles area, Rios feels there’s opportunity for those who are motivated to flourish in the High Desert.

“I moved out here after my family did,” said Rios. “I left my job and I didn’t know what I was going to do. I started my clothing store and right away the sales were doing good.”

Rios shares her clothing storefront space with relatives that do body contouring and lash extensions. She also works as a paralegal and real estate agent.

Rios says HD Family Events has a lot of great things coming soon for the entire family.

“We’d like to invite the entire High Desert community to join in as we launch our family events,” said Rios. “HD Family Events will always be on Saturday evenings from 5-9 p.m. Follow our Instagram page for more information on upcoming events.”
