Investigation underway after Victorville shooting leaves one dead, one injured

VICTORVILLE – On Sunday, December 28, at approximately 1:36 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff deputies responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a shooting in the 12000 block of Mariposa Road in Victorville.

Upon arrival, deputies observed approximately 50–100 individuals and located two victims with gunshot wounds.

Victim #1, identified as Dshaun Holden, 35, of Adelanto, was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies immediately initiated life-saving measures until medical personnel arrived. Holden was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased.

Victim #2, 35, of Victorville, sustained non-life-threatening gunshot injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The suspect remains unidentified and fled the scene before deputies arrived.
