VICTORVILLE – The Victorville City Library, in partnership with the Friends of the Library, invites Southern California artists to submit designs to transform an unfinished book-shaped bench into a public art piece.

The “Dream, Discover, Design” Art Bench Project aims to enhance the library, celebrate local creativity, and connect the joy of reading with the power of visual art.

Artists are encouraged to submit designs that reflect themes of inspiration, knowledge, or discovery. The goal is to create a vibrant, functional art piece that sparks curiosity and enhances the library’s welcoming atmosphere.

The bench will be on display at the entrance of the new Victorville City Library currently under construction at Green Tree Golf Course.

Opportunity Details

  • Who: Open to all artists aged 18+ residing in Southern California.
  • What: Call to Artists to create designs of inspiration, knowledge, or discovery for a library bench that will be prominently placed at the new Victorville City Library.

The deadline for submissions is Dec. 5, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. Submit applications, along with a rendering of proposed design or samples of previous work to [email protected]
