Health inspector temporarily closes popular Victorville restaurant chain

VICTORVILLE — A Domino’s Pizza location in Victorville was temporarily closed this week after county health inspectors found it did not have sufficient hot water for safe food handling.

According to San Bernardino County Public Health, the Domino’s at 12130 Hesperia Road, Suite A, was ordered closed on October 7 and reopened the following day, October 8, after the issue was corrected.

Hot water essential for handwashing

Hot water is essential for employee handwashing and sanitizing utensils and equipment. Without it, restaurants cannot safely prepare food, prompting automatic closure until repairs are verified by county health inspectors.

The incident underscores the importance of maintaining proper plumbing and sanitation systems in food facilities, especially in high-volume restaurants where compliance is closely monitored.

San Bernardino County conducts regular inspections of all restaurants and markets to ensure adherence to the California Retail Food Code.

Inspection results and closure notices are published publicly on the county’s Environmental Health Services portal.
