The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a wind advisory with gusts to 60 mph for Southern California including San Bernardino, San Diego, and Riverside County Mountains that will remain in effect until April 2.
The advisory includes the cities of Crestline, Wrightwood, Running Springs, Hesperia, Apple Valley, Big Bear City, Julian, Big Bear Lake, Southern California Logistics Airport, Victorville, Idyllwild-Pine Cove, Lake Arrowhead, Pine Valley, and Adelanto.
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Reduced visibility in blowing dust in the deserts at times,” said the advisory.
The weather alert also warns that winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles and to use extra caution.
The advisory is set to end at 2 a.m. on April 2.
Southern California Edison has no planned Public Safety Power Shutoffs at the moment.
