HESPERIA — Through Thanksgiving weekend Tesla is offering free charging, during off peak hours, throughout Southern California including Hesperia, Barstow and Yermo stations.

In efforts to reduce the backlog of Tesla drivers at its Supercharger charging stations, the company is offering an incentive to charge its electric vehicles at dozens of California charging stations along select travel routes in the state, as well as a site in Nevada.

Prices vary by state and station, but it usually costs around $25 to charge a Tesla battery from 0% to 100% and takes approximately 15 minutes.

The website says for a faster charging experience, “navigate to your destination using Trip Planner and your battery will already automatically precondition before you arrive.”

Free charging will be available before 9 a.m. and after 8 p.m. now through Sunday, November 27, 2022.
