LGI Homes announces its newest community in Victorville

VICTORVILLE – LGI Homes announced, August 15, the opening of a new community in Victorville, Desert Willow Village. Home prices starting in the mid $440’s, is slightly above the Realtor.com median estimate for new construction homes of $425,000 in the city of Victorville.

The Desert Willow Village is located between the US-395 and I-15 near Sunset Ridge Park. New homes in the community range from 3-bedroom homes with a family room to  5-bedroom homes with a covered porch and patio. Every new home includes energy-efficient appliances, granite countertops, designer wood cabinets with crown molding detail, programmable thermostats, double-pane Low-E vinyl windows and included solar panels.

Desert Willow Village is one of 92 communities across the nation that LGI Homes is actively selling according to a 2nd quarter earnings call. The company also reported their net income increased 4.4% to $123.4 million with an average home sale price of $350,000. They have sold 2,027 homes since June 2021 and currently own and control 89,984 lots.

“After a two-year boom market unlike any other in history, the housing market sits at a pivotal moment. The short-term view is that homes are more expensive, consumer prices are up, and mortgage rates have nearly doubled,” said LGI Homes Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Eric Lipar. “However, the longer-term outlook reveals a solid foundation for multi-year growth. Demographic trends remain supportive of demand, strong labor markets are fueling wage growth, tight rental supply is pushing up rents, and the inventory of homes available for sale remains historically low. At LGI, we’re taking the long-term view and remain optimistic about our business.”

The company expects to close between 7,500 and 8,300 home sales by the end of 2022.
