ADELANTO — Classic cars, youth performances and live music filled the Adelanto Stadium and Event Center, Saturday, for the first United Youth Festival. SoCal Warriors and Con Ganas hosted the festival to bring the youth together for a day of unity.

“We have a youth organization that specializes in sports in the High Desert,” said SoCal Warriors President Richelle Brown. “There’s so much competition –we wanted to get the kids to realize we all live in the same place and should try to get along.”

The youth football organization invited three other teams to enjoy the festivities of the day. Jumpers, a bull ride, and carnival games entertained the kids while the adults enjoyed youth boxing exhibitions and live musical performances from local artists.

Adelanto artists Baybee Gurl and Nahkoi performed their single “On the Boulevard.”

“I came to show love to the city,” said Baybee Gurl. “I wanted show kids that you can make your dreams possible no matter where you are from.”

Other performers included the Royal Heat Drum Line and Dance Squad and Poplockin Creeper. Giveaway shirts and shoes were thrown out to the crowd. Food vendors including Disneyland Churros and Big D’s Tacos provided snacks for festival.

Awards were presented to the classic car club members and youth team coaches.

“This is for the community and the youth programs that we’re involved with,” said Con Ganas Owner Primo.
