VICTORVILLE — Jay Carta’s track “This That” brings back a 90’s vibe that sounds like a cross between Jay-Z and The Pharcyde. He currently has three songs that can be found on streaming platforms.

“I wanted to rap,” said Jay Carta about his inspiration behind the song. “I felt like I was trying to sing too much.

The Victorville native says that he didn’t get into music — but that it got into him.

As corny as it may sound, music got into me, I couldn’t run from it. We were naturally one from womb to the Earth.

Songs “Big Nugz” and “Tesla” can be found on all streaming platforms while “Keep Going” is available on SoundCloud.

“Big love to those who give their time and ears,” said Jay Carta.
