Silverwood honors heroes with $5,000 homebuying incentive

HESPERIA – In honor of National Heroes Day on October 8, Silverwood homebuilders are offering special incentives to recognize the everyday heroes who strengthen the community.

From September 1 through October 8, each Silverwood builder is providing a $5,000 homebuying incentive for fire responders, military personnel (past and present) educators, and healthcare workers.

The incentive can be applied toward upgrades or closing costs.

It’s our way of giving back to those who give so much,” the Silverwood development said in a news release.

Heroes are invited to tour 21 model homes from five builders and explore the benefits of living in Silverwood.

Some floor plans feature mini-suites for extended family

Silverwood, a 9,366-acre master-planned community in Hesperia, began selling homes in early 2025 with prices starting in the $400,000s. The development will eventually include 15,663 homes, seven schools, up to 1.5 million square feet of commercial space, and apartments.

With an emphasis on active lifestyles, plans include 387 acres of parks, 107 miles of paths, 59 miles of off-street trails, and access to Silverwood Lake.

Some floor plans feature mini-suites with a private bedroom, bathroom, and living area—ideal for extended family.

An affordable housing option in SoCal

Lennar, K. Hovnanian, Watt Capital Developers, Woodside Homes, and Richmond American Homes are constructing the first 650 single-family homes.

Silverwood general manager John Ohanian said affordability is key in Southern California’s tight housing market.

“It’s an opportunity for first-time or move-up buyers to purchase a home,” said Ohanian.
