VICTORVILLE – The City of Victorville invites residents, businesses, and community groups to a frightfully fun day of community service at its next Community Cleanup Day on Saturday, Oct. 25.

The city says this Halloween-themed volunteer event is an opportunity for all ages to help beautify Victorville by picking up litter from local roads and public areas.

Victorville Community Cleanup Day, held each April and October since 2007, has seen over 20,900 volunteers remove over 264 tons of litter from city roads.

Volunteers may wear costumes

Volunteers may wear family-friendly costumes for seasonal fun. Costumes should also allow for safe movement during the cleanup. Fake weapons, blood, and face masks that obstruct vision are not allowed for safety reasons.

All participants must wear closed-toe shoes for safety.

Registered volunteers get a free tote (while supplies last), cleanup supplies, and discount lunch coupons.

Event Info

The Community Cleanup Day is on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Those interested in volunteering can register online at VictorvilleCA.gov/CCU. The registration deadline is Oct. 3, at 5 p.m.

Local businesses can sponsor the event and be recognized on tote bags, ads, and the city’s website and social media. Interested businesses should call (760) 955-3306 or email [email protected] for more information.
