
CALIFORNIA – Brightline West announced updates to field investigation work in Southern California, including Victorville, along the Interstate 15 right-of-way.
No field investigation work is scheduled for the week in Nevada.
Field work includes soil sampling, utility potholing, and land surveying. Work will occur mostly during the day, with some night activity and occasional short-term shoulder closures.
All work will follow environmental regulations and be coordinated with Caltrans.
Updated project areas are listed below. Motorists should use caution in work zones and follow posted signs and speed limits.
California
I-15 and SR-210
Bridge potholing will be performed on the I-15 at the SR-210 interchange, on Monday, August 18 and Tuesday, August 19, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
La Paz Road and I-15
Night work and bridge potholing will occur at the I-15/La Paz Road interchange on Wednesday, August 20, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Dates and times are subject to change. These operations are weather-dependent.
Brightline West links Las Vegas to SoCal
Brightline is America’s only private, eco-friendly intercity rail provider, focused on connecting city pairs that are too short to fly and too long to drive.
The service will link Las Vegas and Southern California with a 218-mile, all-electric high-speed rail line – cutting travel time to about two hours.
The company also operates passenger rail service in Florida, connecting Miami and Orlando.
