Residents near Ranch Fire in Apple Valley under evacuation orders

APPLE VALLEY – CalFire issued evacuation orders for residents living between Milpas Dr to High Road, south of HWY 18 in Apple Valley due to the Ranch Fire.

Evacuation orders means the fire is an immediate threat to life. Cal Fire says this is a lawful order to leave now. The area is lawfully closed to public access.

The fire, located at Bowen Ranch and Coxey Truck Trail, south of Apple Valley, is 1,533 acres and currently at 0% containment. 

According to Cal Fire, the Ranch Fire is currently wind-driven and threatening multiple structures in the Apple Valley area. Fire behavior has intensified due to shifting weather conditions, including increasing winds and low humidity, contributing to rapid fire spread.

A Reverse 9-1-1 alert has been issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department to notify residents in the impacted areas. Please stay alert for further evacuation updates and follow all official guidance.

The Ranch Fire is under Unified Command with Cal Fire, San Bernardino County Fire, Apple Valley Fire Protection District, Bureau of Land Management, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
