HESPERIA – California State Parks announced that it is accepting proposals from businesses to operate marina services for visitors at the Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area (SRA) in Hesperia, San Bernardino County.
The Department of Parks and Recreation partners with private businesses through concessions contracts to enhance visitor experiences in California State Parks.
Proposals are being accepted through October 8 for a 30-year concession contract for the operation of marina services for the public.
To support interested parties with details about this opportunity, State Parks will be holding a pre-proposal meeting on July 9 at 10 a.m. at the Silverwood Lake SRA marina.

Letter of Intent is required to bid
Silverwood Lake SRA, located 90 minutes from Los Angeles, consists of four campgrounds, two swim beaches, picnic areas, and a marina where visitors can rent a boat or launch their own.
For Silverwood Lake’s marina services, all proposers must submit a Letter of Intent to bid, as well as any questions related to the content of the RFP, to the state representative, Megan Boisvert, no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025.
Proposers who submit a proposal but fail to submit a Letter of Intent will be disqualified.
Those interested in submitting a proposal can review State Parks’ Request for Proposals (RFP) at parks.ca.gov/concessions. The proposal must be delivered in person or by mail no later than 2 p.m. on Oct. 8, 2025, to the California Department of Parks and Recreation, 715 P Street, 13th floor, Sacramento, CA 95814.
