Victorville Library giving away free tree for Earth Day

Published on

VICTORVILLE – The Victorville City Library is partnering with Neighborhood Forest to inspire youth environmentalism and add some green into the community.

Victorville invites parents and guardians to register children to receive a free tree this Earth Day.

Earth Day 2025

According to Neighborhood Forest, it gave 67,000 trees to kids at more than 900 schools, libraries, and youth groups across North America last Earth Day.  It is aiming to reach 100,000 kids for Earth Day 2025.

Earth Day, celebrated annually on April 22, is a worldwide event dedicated to raising awareness about environmental protection and promoting actions to combat pollution, deforestation, and other ecological challenges.

Neighborhood Forest aims to provide native or edible fruit-bearing trees in all the regions it serves.

Register for a free tree

The city says tree saplings will be delivered to the library and ready for children to take home around Earth Day.

Register online for a free tree before the March 15 deadline at bit.ly/neighborhoodforrest.

The Victorville Library is located at 15011 Circle Drive in Victorville.
