CA gas prices decrease – national prices go up

Published on

CALIFORNIA – AAA reported, July 25, that the average California unleaded gas price decreased 7 cents to a price of $4.65 per gallon since last week as the national average has increased 2 cents to $3.52 per gallon.

“Some of the uptick in gasoline prices may be due to a reported storm-related outage at the ExxonMobil refinery in Joliet, Illinois. That’s contributing to higher pump prices in the upper Midwest,” said AAA spokesperson Andrew Gross.

Gross goes on to say that oil prices have fallen quite a bit as a barrel of oil, in April, was in the upper $80s, but today, it is $10 a barrel cheaper.
