$2,500 small business grant applications due June 30

Published on

NATIONWIDE – Incfile, a business formation service, is awarding small business grants, three times a year, for small businesses and young entrepreneurs. The next grant cycle – ending June 30, will award one current or hopeful business owner and one young entrepreneur $2,500 each.

According to statistics, 78 percent of small business owners use their own funds to launch their businesses. However, some small businesses will eventually need funding at some point.

The amount of funding needed depends on an entrepreneur’s business plan. For a home-based business, $5,000 may be enough to get off the ground, while opening a restaurant in a centrally located area can cost up to $500,000.

Fresh Start Business Grant

Incfile launched their grant program to help entrepreneurs with these start up costs or pay for expenses to expand their business. The Fresh Start Business Grant is an ongoing opportunity, where one current or hopeful business owner will win $2,500, each quarter.

To apply for the grant, the applicant must:

  • Must be 21 years or older;
  • Must be a U.S. resident;
  • Must be planning to start a new business or grow an existing business in a significant way.

To apply for the grant, the applicant must complete the online application, create a short, 2-minute video telling how entrepreneurship will impact their life and submit a sample business plan. To apply for the grant click here.

The grant recipient will receive $2,500 and Incfile’s Gold plan for free ($385 value), including incorporation services, free Registered Agent services for a year, and a free tax consultation.

Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Grant

Incfile also offers a Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Grant for people who are 19 years old or younger.

To apply for the grant, the applicant must:

  • Must be a high school senior, undergraduate, graduate, or trade school student;
  • Must attend a U.S.-based high school, trade school or university;
  • Must hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher;
  • Must have an interest in starting a business.
