VICTORVILLE – A recent survey found that 88% of respondents living in the Inland Empire are the most likely to be concerned about the availability of well-paying jobs.

Here is a list of high paying jobs that are hiring now in the High Desert.

Chief Business Official
Lucerne Valley Unified School District is hiring a Chief Business Official that will serve as controller by closely monitoring the district’s financial health. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required. A Chief Business Official Certification is preferred.

Compensation: $106,743 – $145,329 monthly with additional stipend eligibility

Community Development Technician
The City of Hesperia is hiring a Community Development Technician to perform a variety of technical and related office work associated with the community development and planning permit process. 

Compensation: $4,469 – $5,433 monthly

Head Football Coach
Victor Valley College (VVC) is looking for a head football coach and part time faculty member to provide leadership, training, and guidance to student athletes. The minimum qualifications are any bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience. College or university football coaching experience is preferred.

Compensation: $61.00 – $67.00 hourly with additional $30,000 stipend for coaching duties

IT Technician
The Town of Apple Valley is hiring an IT Technician to perform a variety of technical duties in support of the town’s technology systems. A high school diploma or GED equivalent and two years of recent technology experience with hardware and software operations is required.

The City of Victorville is hiring a Strategic Communication Specialist to assist with the creation, development, and implementation of the city’s comprehensive communication strategy.

Public Information Officer
The City of Barstow is hiring a Public Information Officer that will plan, organize, supervise, and implement the comprehensive public information program, public relations, and marketing plans for the city and the Fire District. A bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or closely related field and three years of increasingly responsible professional level public information experience in a government setting is preferred.

Compensation: $6,547.33 – $8,356.24 monthly

Multimedia Production Specialist II
San Bernardino County is hiring a Multimedia Production Specialist II to help in the planning, development, and production of the County Board of Supervisors’ live broadcasts, as well as supporting the multimedia needs of county government and related entities. A bachelor’s degree in television or film production, multimedia or educational media, communication or liberal arts is required. The applicant must have at least one year of recent experience in the production of live broadcasts.

Compensation: $55,640.00 – $80,288.00
