SpaceX launches ‘53 Starlink satellites’ from California

SANTA BARBARA – A fluorescent streak across the High Desert sky is the aftermath of the SpaceX October 27 launch of 53 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base.

The rocket lifted off from the base at 6:14:10 p.m. 

According to SpaceX the mission involved transporting 53 Starlink satellites into orbit. This particular Falcon 9 rocket has completed eight liftoffs and landings. SpaceX has sent over 3,500 satellites to the Starlink internet constellation, providing internet service around the world.

Sightings of the launch were reported as far as Phoenix, AZ.
