HESPERIA – Alpha Brush, a professional-grade acrylic nail brush e-commerce business, is selling the brand for $45,000. According to the current owner, the beauty market is competitive but nail techs are familiar with the brand they have built.
Market Research.com 2021 report says although the nail industry was hurt by the pandemic, the number of nail technicians has grown steady since 2007, with approximately 262,000 sole proprietor nail techs in the nation. Many of them will fuel future growth, as they aspire to open their own salon.
Alpha Brush was established in 2012 and is sold directly to nail techs through the Alpha Brush website. The product is not available in any beauty supply or retail stores.
According to the site owner, brushes are not made in China and “are of a higher quality, which sets us apart from the rest.”
The current owners say they do not have enough time to dedicate to the brand and will show a new owner how to use Shopify to update products, add apps that may be needed and provide information for their vendors.
The company says that they will also introduce the new owner to social media influencers.
“Sales are nowhere near where they should be, so the potential to grow the brand is substantial. We do not have an in-house nail tech so we rely solely on influencers to help with the brand. You must stay in constant contact with them in order for the brand to keep being seen or make sure you have someone who can create content for your social media channels, newsletter.”
In addition, the new owner will receive ownership of all the social media accounts, plus a 30,000 email subscriber list. A computer and shipping equipment will be required.
