USPS hiring for seasonal workers throughout San Bernardino County

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY – Applications opened September 19 for a four-day online window to apply for U.S. Postal Service holiday and pre-career positions.

Applicants anywhere in Southern California — including San Bernardino County, have until September 23 to apply.

Openings include Mail Handler Assistant, City Carrier Assistant, PSE Mail Processing Clerk, and PSE Sales & Services/Distribution Associate. 

Starting hourly rates range from $16.93 for Holiday Clerk Assistant to about $20–$21 for City Carrier Assistant and PSE Mail Processing Clerk. Check each posting for exact rates and locations.

Applicant requirements

Most roles require a valid driver’s license (for driving jobs), a safe driving record, pre-employment drug screening, and U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status.

Applicants hired for driving roles must complete Vehicle Familiarization and Safe Operation training.

These seasonal hires are part of USPS’s 10-year Delivering for America plan to strengthen and modernize operations.
