Major fast-food chain launches $1 meals in San Bernardino County amid SNAP funding uncertainty

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY — A local Carl’s Jr. franchise group, Akash Management LLC, is offering a $1 meal special at select locations in Southern California – including San Bernardino County, as federal food‑assistance programs face disruptions during the ongoing federal government shutdown.

The offer is available to federal employees, military families, and SNAP recipients.

Akash Management owner and CEO Amir Siddiqi said their commitment has always been to the neighborhoods they serve.

In moments like this, being a good neighbor means stepping forward,” said Siddiqi.

The $1 meal includes a kids hamburger, a small fry, and a kids drink.

To get the $1 meal, customers must present a valid federal, military, or SNAP/EBT ID at the counter or drive-thru.
