APPLE VALLEY — Sprouts Farmers Market celebrated the opening of a new store in Apple Valley on October 10, and held a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Mayor Scott Nassif welcomed the “first ground-up Sprouts Farmers Market in the High Desert.”

“Our community is excited to have a new grocery option focused on fresh foods. This opening is more than just a new store; it represents growth, opportunity, and the continued development of our town,” Nassif said.

Over the grand opening weekend, the store offered activities including produce tastings, a “guess the weight” contest, and music. Visitors were greeted with free reusable bags for the first 200 shoppers, and roses were distributed to the first 400 guests on Friday.

The store also launched a Vendor Village inside, with product sampling and giveaways, and offered a 20% discount to customers who signed up for the Sprouts Rewards program.

Sprouts said the new location will partner with regional farms such as Blossom Hill Packing, California Avocados, and Windset Farms.

Through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, the store will also donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain edible and nutrient-rich to Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino Counties.

New retail center with Raising Cane’s, Mister Car Wash

The new Sprouts Farmers Market anchors a retail center on Bear Valley Road that will also feature a Raising Cane’s restaurant, a Mister Car Wash, and several smaller shops currently under development.

The Apple Valley Sprouts is located at 19439 Bear Valley Rd. The store is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
