Homicide probe begins after Victorville deputies find shooting victim in crash

VICTORVILLE – On Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 11:38 p.m., Victorville deputies responded to a shots-fired report near B Street.

When they arrived, deputies found evidence of a shooting between two people, including bullet strikes on a nearby building and shell casings.

Around 11:46 p.m., deputies responded to a man down after a crash near Kentwood Blvd and Palmdale Rd. 

Driver Brian Vieyra, 34, of Apple Valley, was alone in a red Chevrolet Silverado and had multiple gunshot wounds.

Vieyra was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

The Sheriff’s Homicide Detail took over the investigation.

Suspect at large
