San Bernardino County Animal Care hosting adoption event for California Adopt-A-Pet Day

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY – San Bernardino County Animal Services is participating in the 2nd annual California Adopt-A-Pet Day, June 7, joining over 150 shelters statewide for a fee-waived adoption event.

Devore Animal Shelter will host a full celebration, including:

  • Free adoptions all-day
  • Kona Ice (11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) — free for the first 30 adopters and available for purchase
  • A fun photo booth
  • Vendors & resource tables from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Big Bear Animal Shelter will also offer free adoptions all day.

Pet adoption reduces overcrowding and saves lives

The California Adopt-A-Pet Day is a statewide initiative promoting pet adoption and responsible pet ownership by connecting rescue animals with homes.

This annual event raises awareness about the importance of adopting shelter pets to reduce overcrowding and save lives.

Devore Animal Shelter is located at 19777 Shelter Way, in San Bernardino and the pet adoption event takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Big Bear Animal Shelter is located at 42080 N Shore Dr, in Big Bear.
